FLEX FRIDAY💖. DAYS OF FOREST VISITS.

CHAPTER 10       "Is she here to take you back?" Lola asked curiously. "She's here to help" Kate said. All attention turned to her. "That might be what she said, buh you can know for sure" Precious said. Kate looked at her. "When fighting on the side of the King of Hosts, trust is important. You can't trust others easily, buh for some cases, trust is necessary" Kate said. They were quiet for a while. "Do you believe what she says?" Steven asked. "I believe in all things working together for good for those on His side" Kate said. Lola nodded slowly. "I believe" Lola said. "I believe too" Precious said. Steven recalled reading a similar statement in the lottle book he had been reading. "I believe" he said.      Bunmi was standing by the dining table when Steven came down with the others. Their steps on the stairs made her turn as they got off the stairs. Bunmi pressed her lips into a little ...

FLEX FRIDAY💖. DAYS OF FOREST VISITS.

CHAPTER 9     Precious entered the house, she could hear the little sounds that came from the kitchen. Steven and Lola followed slowly behind her and closed the door after them. As Precious headed towards the dining room which was beside the living room, a lady came from the kitchen and stopped as Precious stopped. Precious could see a handbag on the dining table and assumed that it was for the lady. Precious didn't fully recognize the lady, but she knew she was supposed to know her,  she looked so familiar. "Precious?" The lady called. Previous tilted her head a little to indicate that she didn't know who the woman was. The lady smiled and moved a little closer. "I'm Kate, your dad told me to stay with you for a while" Kate said. "Have we met before?" Precious asked. Kate nodded, "Yes, buh you were very little then, I had to stop coming a few years after your mother passed because your father didn't want me around" Kate said, ra...

INSPIRED MONDAY: Somethings are forever, why not man too?

Some things are forever, man wasn't. That was just the way it was, why? Prudence never cared about that, buh now that Sophia asked, she felt obliged to have a response. She didn't know Sophia personally, and infact, Sophia didn't in anyway direct the question to her buh to the person anchoring the program. Either way, Prudence didn't know how this could be explained to a babe who had just lost her father.      There was a large amount of fault in man, and lack of understanding makes man blame these faults on other things so long has it does not tag them wrongly. Buh do they wonder to whom it matters how they are tagged? There was just a thing that man should mind when it comes to matter of blaming and pleasing, in fact, man didn't seem to know this. And with how essential it was, not many cared to pay attention to it.      What would be the preacher's response? Prudence sighed within, the same "God knows best, or at least he was a minist...

INSPIRED MONDAY: Drama house

Folakemi turned to leave, there was no way that was right, she wouldn't do the drama with Clara, hasn't the Word said "Gather not my soul with sinners nor my life with bloody men?"  So how dare these so called leaders choose Clara for one of the major roles in the school drama. Everyone knew how ungodly Clara was, wasn't that enough for them to turn a blind eye to her good acting skills? Good? Folakemi had made a mistake, there can't possibly be anything good about Clara since she had chosen not to be of God. Her acting too must be vain then, a gift from hell. Folakemi grew up to love God in her own way and be outspoken about it, afterall, Jesus wasn't ashamed to preach the Words of his father, then who was she - joint heir with Christ and Jesus' sister - to be afraid of preaching her father's Word. Didn't Jesus openly rebuke the Pharisees and Scribes whenever they did the wrong things, then why would she cover up the evil acts of sinners,...

CHAPTER 8       Lola looked at him, she was taken aback by his question. She nodded "Yes, and not just for the sake of it" she said. "Then why do you go?" Steven asked. "I like the fellowship, the talks as the spirit leads, and the Creator too" Lola said gleefully. Steven gave a faint smile so as not to look too serious. "One with a master, one without a master, and one with a totally different kind of master" Steven said, referring to the three of them. Lola was confused, buh for some reason, she was enjoying the talk. "What does that mean?" She asked. Steven looked at her. "Do you have a motto in your church then?" He asked. Lola smiled "Are you christian? You don't seem to know much about how the church works" Lola said. Steven wasn't interested in her talks, all he needed was direct reply to his questions, but he had to be patient, rushing will get him nowhere, still, he had to be saved quick. "You...

INSPIRED MONDAY: Gab and the tree

The thoughts within Gab went on and on. Surely, there was no end to the mind. Every single thing had a depth, and that, a depth indeed. The depth of a single thing was connected to other things that don't seem to matter, but when looked at long and well enough,  it had its own unimaginable depth. When Gab was lost in thoughts, she had plenty of time to think over the depth of these matters, but with plenty of time, time was never enough. Every single dot had its own branches, and each branch had no end. The root was a mighty one - perfect, flawless, it couldn't be found to be destroyed or stopped - it was the root indeed.      The root. Gab had heard the word "root" lots of times. Thinking on it, it didn't seem like a word to be frequently used, after all, it was just a part of a tree. Gab thought of the root further,  and she knew two things more and again. First, there was a million ways to see a single thing.      Also, the root wasn't jus...

CHAPTER 7       Steven looked back, Dasola was staring at both of them from Precious' seat. Steven looked away, and turned to Precious. "Never mind, it's just a way of calling me" Steven said quietly, although Iwalewa could still hear. Precious leaned closer to him, "You can't go anywhere, you just spoke with me" Precious said sternly. Steven nodded and stood. "What are you doing?" Precious stood up straight, a bit frightened. "Hold on, I'll be back. She won't leave except l leave too" Steven said. Precious sighed, Dasola was definitely doing whatever she was doing intentionally. Precious walked towards her seat, as Steven walked out of the class. Precious glared at Dasola as she walked, Dasola stood and left.       Steven walked into thier usual circle in the forest, surprisingly, it was empty. He looked around a bit then checked his wristwatch, he shouldn't take too long. From the tree behind him, one of his friends ju...

INSPIRED MONDAY: ESCAPE ROUTE.

Divine walked slowly behind her friends as they all headed to to the school hall. It was Wednesday, and it was the school custom to gather all the students for Wednesday talks. A lot of students rebelled against it, buh it didn't change anything. It was a custom, and one in which all the principals who had ever headed the school believed to be good for the students.      "Why are you so slow?" One of the four girls turned back to check Divine as the others stood too. Divine looked up from the floor she had been staring at as she walked. She gave a dissatisfied smile. "Sorry" she said and walked faster towards them. She saw her older sister walking up the stairs, and she was reminded of how much she hated her. It was day time, so she let herself dwell on the hate. In the evening before the dark night,  she would pray and ask for forgiveness. After all, didn't the bible say that the savior would return as a thief in the night? That meant that...

FLEX FRIDAY💖. DAYS OF FOREST VISITS.

CHAPTER 6      Mrs Bright walked into the class with a new student. "Good morning class" she said. "Good morning ma" every one replied quietly, still sitted. "We have a new student" Mrs Bright said and turned to the girl "Introduce yourself" she said. The girl faced the class with her jocular look and smile. "Hi everyone, call me Lola. I'm excited to be in a new school, I hope you'll also enjoy having me here" she said. Mrs Bright faced the class again. "Take a seat Lola" she said as she opened the register on the table in front of her. Lola walked to Bimpe's former seat beside Precious. "Hi, I'll be your new seat mate" Lola said with a tight lip smile. Precious nodded. "I'm Precious" she said as Lola took her seat. *                 *                  *                  *                 ...

INSPIRED MONDAY: Road peek

Florence still hated travelling, more so because it had been so long since she did. When she was young, she used to travel all the way from Vedar to Tegavis, buh she always hated it since it made her sick. When she got a little older, she quit travelling, and for the last 13 years, she refused to leave the town she grew up in. She remembered Elisa telling her she had to get over her travel sickness, that was 7 years ago when Elisa wad relocating to Tegavis. Flo sat in the bus, she knew everyone in the bus, they were all residents of Vedar, and they were travelling to Mogeor to attend Kevin's wedding. Flo's husband, Gabriel was sitted beside her while she sat by the window.       As the ride went on, every one chatted and spoke of Kevin. When he was still in Vedar, he never got along with his brother, Jacob, and even with his father. Everyone thought it was because of his anger issue, buh then, he started meeting the central church pastor at that ti...

FLEX FRIDAY💖. DAYS OF FOREST VISITS.

CHAPTER 5      Everyone got out of the bus in a line and were grouped into four in a group as they came down. Precious and Steven were in same group along with Gbolahan and Tolu, Precious was the only female. Each group stayed together as Mr Graham made his announcement, "Each group should get a nylon and a watch, check your time as often as you can, and be back here before 4:30, the time now is about 3:30, watch out for each other too, is that clear?" Mr Graham asked, there was a weak chorus as Tade went round to give each group a nylon and a watch. "You two are in same group?" Tade asked Steven and Precious. "That way, we'll be able to scare each other and not others" Steven shrugged, as Tolu took the watch and nylon from Tade. "That's the more reason you two shouldn't be on same team" Tade said. Steven leaned closer to him "What do you know?" He asked. "Everyone ready?" Mr Graham's voice was loud. Tade walk...

INSPIRED MONDAY: Tammy on the bus

Tammy sat still as she still listened. Today, her mind wasn't occupied. There was no end to the thoughts of man, buh this time, she chose to clear her mind. It had been so long since she did that. In fact, it wasn't exactly a safe idea for her to at that moment. She was on her way back home because of the stress of her work. She shouldn't leave her work all just because of stress, buh in what way would staying benefit her when it could almost cause her breakdown. Tammy loved riding in her own car, buh she took the bus this time. She hadn't intended to as she thought of walking home initially, regardless of the distance of her home from her office, at least, she had nothing to do on a hurry at home, she didn't even plan to go home that early.      Tammy listened on in the bus, it was loud and clear. It had been so long since she took the bus that she didn't know that even the bus sometimes played audio recordings for its passengers. She looked out the w...

FLEX FRIDAY💖. DAYS OF FOREST VISITS.

CHAPTER 4      Little Precious still held the neck chain in her tiny hand, buh the man who had given it to her was nowhere to be found. Precious was left alone in the middle of a quiet forest, in the dark and drizzling night. Precious shivered, out of fear, and cold. "Daughter" she heard a call behind her. She turned back quickly "Dad?" she said, sobbing. Behind her was a woman who seemed to have a glowing skin. Precious wasn't so scared of her nature, she hadn't seen so much in life to know what was abnormal, she just stood still. "Who is it?" Precious sobbed. "I'm your mother" the woman said. Precious knew the woman did look like the picture her father showed her. "Mom?" Precious said. "Dad said to bring you, he is with Kate too" her mother smiled. Precious let her carry her. She would meet her dad again, and she could brag to the other kids in school about her mom. *                    *      ...

INSPIRED MONDAY: Life as a load of risks

There could be so many reasons why a lot of things could most definitely go wrong, because life was a risk. "Life is a load of risk" Sean couldn't stop thinking on this as he remained on his bed. It was past four in the morning, he had nothing to do awake, buh he still was. He had prayed for about 40 minutes already when he woke up around few minutes to three that morning. It wasn't usually like him to remain that awake, buh he knew just why. Even faith was a risk, because, what if faith fails you? Sean knew this too, and he had come to a rightful conclusion, yet he couldn't sleep. What one had faith in determined if that faith would fail the person. Sean had faith in his Maker, his Maker who sent His son to teach Sean how to please his Maker. If this Supreme made Sean, why shouldn't he have faith in Him? He made him out of His free will, then why shouldn't Sean wait on him? It amazed Sean that even when he knew the truth, the utmost truth, he still could...

FLEX FRIDAY💖. DAYS OF FOREST VISITS.

CHAPTER 3     Precious stood straight, everything was back to normal and attention was no longer on her as everyone looked at Steven who was in front of the class, speaking with the teacher. Precious took her seat slowly. "Are you fine?" Bimpe asked. "Yes..." Precious nodded. "...thanks" she added.      The next day, Mr Darasimi dropped his daughter off in school and went on his 3weeks business trip. As Precious walked towards her classroom, she wondered how she was  supposed to cope in the house alone with her father and Dolapo gone. Precious was initially angry at Dolapo for leaving the house without informing her when she found out after returning home from school the day before, buh she knew Dolapo was leaving soon, she knew what she was going through in her own home and even that Dolapo wouldn't tell her about her resigning. Precious didn't like doing the house chores or cooking, buh she didn't want any other house helps in their house, in...

INSPIRED MONDAY: Laurel's hates

There were faces Laurel couldn't bear to look at,buh they were all over, in fact, these faces were loved and adored by all, somehow, she knew that still not everyone loved and adored these people, because there would surely be someone like her. Just like how there was always repetition of occurrences, because when God provided water for the Israelites out of the rock, didn't he do it again?  Buh then, as many times as there would be repetition of occurrences, somethings will never be again, for there will never again be a man as wise as Solomon. Laurel wondered what she had to do with her hatred for these faces, she couldn't go to work without seeing these faces, and sometimes, these faces appear in her office, sometimes not only their faces, buh them in flesh. She had no power to express her hatred, in fact, Laurel didn't want to express it, buh she always felt that if she didn't, she could choke herself up inside and faint. So far, that didn't happen, and she...

FLEX FRIDAY 💖. DAYS OF FOREST VISITS

CHAPTER 2      The car pulled over in front of a bush. Little Precious looked out of the window of the seat she was on beside the driver's seat. The rain had reduced, and the night was dark. Precious couldn't see through the thick night, so she turned to the man that picked her up from her house. He got down from his seat and walked to the other door where Precious was, opened the door and picked her up. "Where's daddy?" Precious asked as the man closed the door with his other hand. "We're almost where he is" he replied. He walked further into the bush. When the rain finally stopped, the man stopped near a big tree and put Precious down. Precious looked around the place, it was dark buh the moon shined bright enough. Putting his hand into the right pocket of his hoodie, The man took out a neck chain, he squatted in front of Precious and showed her the necklace. Precious looked surprised "I've seen that before" she said, looking away f...

INSPIRED MONDAY: Disappointments and forgiveness

Ash didn't see any of these as her fault, buh no one was on her side. Buh then, no one was on her side didn't mean she had to be on their side. As a matter if fact, she didn't want their approval. Though they were are glued, she didn't need their approval. They've been together so long, and she was just amazed at how Sarah and Gab believed Mic over her. Who on earth was Mic to them compared to her? Nothing, absolutely nothing but a classmate. Ash had nothing to say to them, and even if she did,  they were not willing to listen. If Ash told herself she wasn't hurt by their action, she knew she'd be trying to fool herself. She was used to it, and although she was used to it, it still hurt to be let down by people you consider close. Maybe it was because she didn't see it coming, maybe it was because she had chosen to see only the positive side of every situation. The type of person she used to be was the type to consider all possibilities in all situations...

CHAPTER 1      As Darasimi Precious got out of her room and closed the door, she heard the horn of her father's car. She hurried to the stairs and down, dressed in her blue school uniform, a school bag behind her and her brown jumper on her left hand. From the sitting room, she could hear Dolapo's movements in the kitchen. "Bye Dolapo" Precious called. "Take care in school" Dolapo's response came quick. Precious got out of the house and went to her father's car and took a seat beside him in front, placing her bag and jumper on her laps. "You didn't forget anything, did you?" Mr Darasimi asked. "No dad" Precious smiled as she fastened her seat belt.      It was the first day of a new session and as Precious's father drove her to school,  Precious wasn't thinking much about school, she didn't have any close friends, and she didn't want to bother herself with it. She wasn't so jovial and so she didn't ...
