FLEX FRIDAY 💖. DAYS OF FOREST VISITS
CHAPTER 2
The car pulled over in front of a bush. Little Precious looked out of the window of the seat she was on beside the driver's seat. The rain had reduced, and the night was dark. Precious couldn't see through the thick night, so she turned to the man that picked her up from her house. He got down from his seat and walked to the other door where Precious was, opened the door and picked her up. "Where's daddy?" Precious asked as the man closed the door with his other hand. "We're almost where he is" he replied. He walked further into the bush.
When the rain finally stopped, the man stopped near a big tree and put Precious down. Precious looked around the place, it was dark buh the moon shined bright enough. Putting his hand into the right pocket of his hoodie, The man took out a neck chain, he squatted in front of Precious and showed her the necklace. Precious looked surprised "I've seen that before" she said, looking away from the chain and to the man. The pendant on the neck chain was flat with engraved lines, the pendant itself glowed in the dark. "Have you, now?" The man asked. "Yes, it's the same one mummy wore in her picture, buh daddy doesn't know where it is" Precious said. "Would you like to have it then?" He asked. Precious ignored his question. "Daddy said she's dead, is she really dead?" Precious asked.

After the lunch bell rang, the teacher left the class, Precious was grateful that none of the teachers took more than their required time, and they all came early to class, that way, no one would have time to mind her since she wasn't in touch with any of them during the holiday. Precious closed her book and turned to the forest. The noise in the class had increased a little, buh it was bound to go down soon since everyone was going to the dining hall. Precious sat still, thinking on the forest, that was the forest they'd go on excursion to the next day after school just as the teacher who just left had said.
A tap on Bimpe's table caught Precious' attention and she turned, the guy she thought she saw in front of the forest was standing by Bimpe's table with a note in hand. "Hi" he said when she turned to him. "Hey" Precious replied. "Is this Bimpe's table?" He asked. "Yes" Precious nodded slowly. "She asked to drop this note on her table" he said. "Ow" Precious said with a little nod, she didn't care. He dropped the note and said "I'm Steven by the way" Precious didn't want to have a conversation with him, and she wondered what made her seem approachable to him. "I'm Precious" She replied, she figured that if she didn't say her name straight on, the conversation was going to prolong by him asking her name. "Aren't you going for lunch break?" He asked. Precious considered his question totally out of context, still, she was expressionless. "No, I'm not hungry" Precious said. She wasn't going not becaise she wasn't hungry buh because she'ld have to look for an empty table to sit by herself and finding one won't be easy and was stressful. "Then our discussion would postpone" Steven said thoughtfully, as he raised his right hand to his neck to adjust his collar. His hand movement made Precious look towards his neck, he had a neck chain on, not just anyone, one that drew Precious' attention. Precious recalled quickly where she had seen the neck chain, it was in her mother's picture, her mother wore that exact neck chain, the one with a glowing pendant. "Where'd you get that?" Precious asked curiously, sitting up a little more. "What?" Steven asked, feigning ignorance. "The chain on your neck" Precious said. "You can see it?" Steven asked slowly. "It's on your neck, why won't I see it?" Precious asked, beginning to find him strange. "Why are you asking about it though?" Steven shrugged. Precious looked away for a second. "Well, neck chains aren't allowed in school" Precious replied, keeping her voice stable. "Miss Bright didn't say a thing about it..." Steven started as though he was thinking "...and my seat mate complimented my shirt without mentioning it" he said. Precious stared at him, she wondered what his point was.
Precious looked away from him. "Right, maybe the rules changed" she said and looked again at the forest, he might be trying to say something to her, buh Precious really hated beating around the bush. "Why do you keep looking at the forest?" Steven asked. Precious turned angrily, she took the anger off her face quickly, no one deserved to get her angry. "Aren't you going for the lunch break?" Precious asked uninterestedly. "Right, later then" Steven said and walked away. Precious hope there would be no later with him.
As soon as the bell rung for end of break, Mr Graham entered the class, a few students coming in immediately after him, and everyone settled quickly. Precious was mindful of when Steven came in, he stared at her until he got to his seat, Precious looked away from him to the teacher, he had a way of annoying her.
Not long after the class started, everyone was sitted, Iwalewa raised her hand. Mr Graham looked up from his book on the table and nodded to her. "My seat mate's not here" she said. Mr Graham wondered how that affected anyone "Well where is your seat mate?" He asked, he knew who Iwalewa was, and that even teachers had to be nice to her regardless. "He has not been seen since lunch time sir" Iwalewa said. Mr Graham looked around the class, "does anyone know where her seat mate went to?" He asked. "The last person he spoke to was Precious sir, we didn't even see him in the hall" Kolade said. Precious was shocked and furious, wasn't Steven on his seat? From her seat, she could see him so clearly, how come his seat partner couldn't? "Who is Precious?" Mr Graham asked. Precious looked up before raising her hand. She stood up. "Do you know where Steven is?" He asked. Precious looked at his seat, he was sitted there and he turned to face her with a sly smile. If she said she did and that he was on his seat, then she'd probably seem crazy to everyone. Precious faced the teacher again. In front of the teachers' table lined 7 people in strange dressings that Precious had never seen before. Precious was further confused, she was still the only one that could see them. They began muttering words in a chorus, Precious couldn't understand a thing they said, she held her ear from their screams as she dropped her head on her table.with a little shriek that caught the whole class' attention.
