FLEX FRIDAY💖. DAYS OF FOREST VISITS.


 CHAPTER 5

     Everyone got out of the bus in a line and were grouped into four in a group as they came down. Precious and Steven were in same group along with Gbolahan and Tolu, Precious was the only female. Each group stayed together as Mr Graham made his announcement, "Each group should get a nylon and a watch, check your time as often as you can, and be back here before 4:30, the time now is about 3:30, watch out for each other too, is that clear?" Mr Graham asked, there was a weak chorus as Tade went round to give each group a nylon and a watch. "You two are in same group?" Tade asked Steven and Precious. "That way, we'll be able to scare each other and not others" Steven shrugged, as Tolu took the watch and nylon from Tade. "That's the more reason you two shouldn't be on same team" Tade said. Steven leaned closer to him "What do you know?" He asked. "Everyone ready?" Mr Graham's voice was loud. Tade walked past them. "You have a knack for trouble, don't you?" Precious sighed. "I don't like it really, buh it's so much fun" Steven smirked. "Fun?" Precious was a little surprised. "I should try been rebellious in other things too, maybe then, I'll be saved" he said with a wink. Precious didn't understand, buh she didn't feel the need to ask.

     Each group walked separately further into the bush. Precious' team walked quietly together and when they were out of other classmates sight, Steven stopped them. "Okay, let's have it this way..." He started. Tolu interrupted him. "Who made you team leader?" Tolu asked. "You didn't volunteer yourself either, that you hold the watch doesn't make you one" Steven shrugged. "Steven" Precious called, she definitely hated trouble. "You haven't even been in the school long enough" Tolu said. Steven sighed. "I think it'll be better to split, it'll probably make the work easier, or faster maybe" Steven said. "Part of the work is to work as a team and learn together while sharing knowledge, do you even know what we're here for?" Tolu asked. "Even if I don't, I'm not willing to learn it from you" Steven said. "Tolu, you guys should just go ahead" Precious said to him. "Buh Precious..." Tolu called. Precious started to walk in another direction and Steven followed him. "Let's keep going" Gbolahan said to Tolu.

     "Is this your greater rebel?" Precious asked. "This wouldn't save me, would it?" Steven asked rhetorically. "What are we here for by the way?" He asked. Precious shrugged "To learn about nature, plants, and geography stuff" Precious said. "Are you familiar with the forest?" Steven asked.

"I don't think so, it's my first time in a forest I guess. You come here often?"

"You could say that. I hang out here with my seven friends" 

"The ones with same body?" Precious faced him as she leaned on a little rock.

Steven joined her. "They have different bodies, we just do that sometimes to move easier and save space too"  "Are you tired already?" Steven asked.

Precious sighed a little "Maybe, I don't exactly trek a lot" Precious said. 

"Let's go, I have somewhere to show you" he said, standing straight.

"Should I be scared?" Precious asked

"Of course not" he smiled.

Precious stood, she turned to dust the back of her skirt. On the rock, a little tree had grown, it wasn't there when she first got there. She moved away from it, a branch of it moved closer to her. "Steven" she called. Steven turned to her. "What?" He asked. Precious moved back, the branch grew longer to as if trying to reach out for her.

    Steven put his palms over each other and separated them slowly. A blue ball of light formed in-between his palms and it enlarged as he separated his palms further. He threw the ball of light at the rock, and Precious blacked out.

     "Mom" Little Precious called again as she got down from the bed. "I'm right here honey" her mother said, bending to face her daughter. She sounded stressed, buh Precious couldn't know that, she was only a child, she didn't know the sound of stress. "Here Darling, this necklace would do whatever you want it to do" her mother said and handed over the same neck chain to her. "Build a flower for me" Precious said to the necklace. Her mother watched with a smile. There was a muffled sound in front of Precious, and she could see the glow of a flower. Precious was thrilled as she bent to touch the flower. "Woah" she said. She made an attempt to touch the flower buh felt a sting in her right index which made her recoil with a little shriek. "Are you fine?" Her mother asked moving her closer to herself.

      Elene noticed the movement of the flower, a part of the flower grew longer to follow Precious wherever she turned. Elene rubbed Precious' index finger a little and put her on the bed again, the branch still followed her. 

Elene stood and put her palms over each other, she separated her palms slowly, a ball of blue light formed in-between her palms and grew larger as she increased the distance between her palms. She threw the ball of light at the flower and it was gone.

      As her eyes opened, Precious saw nothing. There was an open window,  buh it gave no light into the room. She was on a bed. "Steven" she called, she heard her echo. "I'm here" she heard his voice as he put on a dull torchlight that showed where he was, at the other end of the room. "Where is this place?" She asked as she stood slowly from the bed. 

      "My personal room, little Elene" Precious didn't know the voice. She knew Elene, that was her mother's name. "Who are you?" Precious asked, trying not to sound rude. She saw the man a distance away, his head was covered with a black hoodie, buh she didn't think she had seen the man before. "You didn't tell her about me?" The man asked Steven. "I didn't think you wanted me to already." Steven said. The man moved swiftly towards Steven and held his neck with one hand, standing him up. Steven didn't struggle with him. Precious was a little afraid. "What do you want?" She asked, hoping to distract the man from Steven. He appeared again in front of Precious buh still held Steven's neck, he had doubled. Precious shivered. "We'll meet soon enough" the man said.


      It was bright again, they were still in the forest. Precious stood from between  the dried grasses, Steven was a distance away from her. "Steven" she called as she moved closer to him. "Are you okay?" She asked as he stood. "Yes, are you?" He asked. Precious nodded. "Sorry about that" he said. "If you explain, I'll assume your apology is sincere" she said. Steven nodded. 

"Are you done with your personal survey?" Tolu asked as he and Gbolahan approached them. "We could say that" Steven replied.

The Dreamer

       In a new place, with a strange dream... PART 1/2       Jasire opened his eyes slowly. Regardless of his fearsome dream, he was used to waking up quietly, as his mother would surely awake at any sound he or his siblings made, cautioning them to keep their voices low as the night was a very sensitive time.        Maya sat crouched on her bed, leaning partially against the wall. She had just awoken not long ago, the day was getting bright and so Maya figured it was almost 7 am. She knew she'd wait at least 30 minutes in that position before the door opens and the switch turns on.      Maya didn't love feeling too cold, but she loved the feeling of cold, she loved the season of cold. She loved it a million times than the hot season. She loved things she was able to control, and thus her hatred for the generator, her slight hatted for her caretaker, her hatred for her room.      As much as Maya loved cold a million times than heat, she loved the light a million times than the dark.  The thoughts within Gab went on and on. Surely, there was no end to the mind. Every single thing had a depth,and that, a depth indeed. The depth of a single thing was connected to other things that don't seem to matter, but when looked at long and well enough,  it had its own unimaginable depth. INSPIRED MONDAY: All things work together

      Riah had a lot on her schedule. In about 35 minutes, her driver would arrive and would take her and her new and only daughter to her new school. Riah looked on at the paper she had written her schedule on earlier that morning as it lay on her dressing table, she seemed lost in her schedule. The only things she had done were the arranging of her bag, the reading of her bible and devotion with her daughter.      Riah felt sleepy, she felt the need to close her eyes but she shut the thought out. PERFECT JUBILEE - Day 1

       Another way of relieving burdens, letting all the stress go is Praise.       One may wonder how this is possible when you seem to not have any strength left.
