INSPIRED MONDAY: Road peek

    Florence still hated travelling, more so because it had been so long since she did. When she was young, she used to travel all the way from Vedar to Tegavis, buh she always hated it since it made her sick. When she got a little older, she quit travelling, and for the last 13 years, she refused to leave the town she grew up in. She remembered Elisa telling her she had to get over her travel sickness, that was 7 years ago when Elisa wad relocating to Tegavis. Flo sat in the bus, she knew everyone in the bus, they were all residents of Vedar, and they were travelling to Mogeor to attend Kevin's wedding. Flo's husband, Gabriel was sitted beside her while she sat by the window. 

     As the ride went on, every one chatted and spoke of Kevin. When he was still in Vedar, he never got along with his brother, Jacob, and even with his father. Everyone thought it was because of his anger issue, buh then, he started meeting the central church pastor at that time, and rather than been angry, he was a little introverted. His mother believed it was better for him to be introverted than to get angry and react to every issue, buh his father disliked him both been angry and been introverted. According to him, a man couldn't achieve anything by been introverted, only females were suited to be introverts. Buh as introverted as Kevin was, he was a center piece of award in his town. For 5 years straight, he won the award for best artist in the town, still,  his father didn't commend him, "Drawing will get you no where out of this town,  especially if you keep moving with that Elisa girl" His father once said. Another problem his father had with him was Elisa. Elisa was considered rude because she didn't like been with people,  except her brother, and Kevin, and his father hated that he let her stick to him.

     Flo noticed the changes in the roads. She payed close attention to everyone's comments, and she kept her comments within her while still admiring the changes. Gabriel travelled to the city most times, and he always wanted her to come along. She loved that there was no gallop on the road, buh she was still a little afraid. She hated that the car was moving too fast, it's been so long since she was in a car that moved that fast since driving round the whole of Vedar town would only take less than 45 minutes. Gabriel turned to her "Are you okay?" He asked. Flo nodded, "I really hate the fast track, buh I'll do just fine" she said. Gabriel gave a little smile.

      Flo looked again out the window. A few villages were being built. She thought of Elisa, they chatted a lot of often, and she was glad that they would meet at Kevin's wedding. She remembered Alice too. Alice moved to Vedar exactly a year after Elisa left. She moved into Elisa's former house and was as well in love with Kevin ad Elisa was. They were both similar, except that the residents considered Alice rather nice, and for that difference, Flo was so sure they wouldn't ever get along. They never did get along on their own, buh since they both knew Kevin, he had a way of making peace between the two of them.

      Peace. Kevin made peace between the two of them. Before Elisa left, she refused to get along with Flo, because their mothers were best friends, buh Kevin had a way of making peace whenever Elisa wanted to start a drama. Kevin grew up as a trouble maker, buh he made an effort. One thing he wanted was his father's acknowledgement, and so when his mother told him to visit the pastor every Friday, he agreed. The pastor taught him verses to help his anger, and how to remain quiet to avoid trouble, buh none of it changed his father's attitude towards him. Still, he never gave up the teachings, because it gave him peace. It gave him the peace he was able to help the people around him with. Flo and Kevin attended the same church since they were little, and she knew the pastor well too.

       What could she do for her peace too? The only thing she was scared of confronting was her fear of travelling, and what made her confront it this moment was her friend's wedding. She had peace wherever she was, buh not when travelling, there was certain fear travelling induced in her,  there were certain strange and ungodly thoughts that came to her mind when travelling, buh there should be something she could use to counter these thoughts:

     “The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore”

The Dreamer

       In a new place, with a strange dream... PART 1/2       Jasire opened his eyes slowly. Regardless of his fearsome dream, he was used to waking up quietly, as his mother would surely awake at any sound he or his siblings made, cautioning them to keep their voices low as the night was a very sensitive time.        Maya sat crouched on her bed, leaning partially against the wall. She had just awoken not long ago, the day was getting bright and so Maya figured it was almost 7 am. She knew she'd wait at least 30 minutes in that position before the door opens and the switch turns on.      Maya didn't love feeling too cold, but she loved the feeling of cold, she loved the season of cold.  The thoughts within Gab went on and on. Surely, there was no end to the mind. Every single thing had a depth,and that, a depth indeed. The depth of a single thing was connected to other things that don't seem to matter, but when looked at long and well enough,  it had its own unimaginable depth. INSPIRED MONDAY: All things work together

      Riah had a lot on her schedule. In about 35 minutes, her driver would arrive and would take her and her new and only daughter to her new school. Riah looked on at the paper she had written her schedule on earlier that morning as it lay on her dressing table, she seemed lost in her schedule. The only things she had done were the arranging of her bag, the reading of her bible and devotion with her daughter.      Riah felt sleepy, she felt the need to close her eyes but she shut the thought out.        Another way of relieving burdens, letting all the stress go is Praise.       One may wonder how this is possible when you seem to not have any strength left.
