The Dreamer

The giver of dreams - a glimpse into the future, or a call to service. PART 2/2 Jasire turned to the creaking door behind him. He was alone in a class room with five long benches enough to contain four children, and each bench had two tables. From his seat on the third bench, he could see the clock on the wall above the separate desk at the front, it was twenty one minutes past eleven, and he had been there since eleven.        The door was held open from outside for a while and Jasire just stared at it until the man behind it came in. He was quite finely dressed, and so a thought of fear dropped into Jasire's mind, then he thought of those he'd met earlier before - Phoebe, and Derin at breakfast, who had told her about the class for children his age - with their large, pure smiles. The man opened the door further to keep it open before noticing Jasire.   "Since when have you been here?" The man asked.  "Eleven" Jasire replied almost immediately....

The Dreamer

In a new place, with a strange dream... PART 1/2       Jasire opened his eyes slowly. Regardless of his fearsome dream, he was used to waking up quietly, as his mother would surely awake at any sound he or his siblings made, cautioning them to keep their voices low as the night was a very sensitive time. For the sake his mother, Jasire sat up as quietly as he could, this time, his mother wasn't leaning on the wall, asleep, and he infact had slept on a bed the night before, with his younger brother Tola by his right. The day was clear and Jasire felt a little bit of fright within him as he saw his mother asleep on a mat with his younger sister,  Alita. The day was never clear and his mother would still be asleep, infact,  she hardly slept through the night,  waking up at even the mere sound of a passing mosquito.        Jasire remembered his dream and wondered if he'd still be asleep like the rest of his family ...

PERFECT JUBILEE - Day 1

Another way of relieving burdens, letting all the stress go is Praise.       One may wonder how this is possible when you seem to not have any strength left. If you're told to go to a particular location to get the solution to a problem that seems to have been stuck with you for a long time, hardly will you hesitate, buh now, instead of going anywhere, all you have to do is bring God, and with what? Praises, for He inhabits the praises of His people.  Note that it just doesn't say 'praise' but 'the praises of His people' Here are a few tips of Praises; Praise: In it He inhabits... Praise:  From the heavens, in the heights From the earth to all deeps From the kingdoms of the earth From all flesh to His Holy Name From all His works, from all saints Among the multitude; In the assembly of the upright Praise: With giving of thanks; And harps and psaltery and on instruments of ten strings Resounds continuously in His sanctuary; Continuously...

INSPIRED MONDAY: Phoebe on transformation

Phoebe loved sessions like this. The unexpected unplanned kind of session. One filled with so much knowledge than she'd have expected to gain that very day. There was a way she learnt, and there was a way and manner in which she taught in which she herself couldn't phantom however way she did it. Growing up, Phoebe had learnt to make contributions when asked to. She might not have something new to say, buh it'd be rather rude to leave the speaker or the teacher to his or herself, and so Phoebe always said something, even it meant repeating what someone else had said. Buh there was always something different or rather more to say. She always paid attention when listening to people speak, and she'd have a good knowledge of whatever was been said, buh when she repeats the exact same words, a new idea just automatically pops into her head, and even Phoebe would wonder however way her mind travelled far and deep.      Phoebe opened the door and enter...

INSPIRED MONDAY: Maranatha's dream

Maranatha stood by the window, looking out, arms folded. It was day time, and she loved her ward particularly because it was high above the fence and it was easy to look over the fence at passerbys. In fact, If she had wanted, she could have made friends with any of the regular passerbys as some count it kindness to look up to the hospital wards to patients who miss their home and might never get a chance to see their home again and greet them. Another thing she liked about her ward was that two of the people that had been there had been discharged and now, it was quieter as the only present roommate she had wasn't the type to be confined in a place, one would think she had a sort of family relation to every one else in the hospital.      It was clear morning, buh her roommate was out already, and so Maranatha stood by the window, luckily, the passerbys were those hurrying to work, and she need not bother about having to wave at anyone who cared for t...

FLEX FRIDAY 💖. MY PERFECT ARTIST.

CHAPTER 5      As a few other students left the classroom, Florence Hooke picked up her brown school bag. Her seat was in the front row, beside the window. Looking back, she could see Ella Peter, the mayor's daughter on her seat, puting a few books into her bag. Florence approached her, smiling.  "Are we good to go?" Flo asked. Ella looked up as she zipped her bag. "Yes, now" she said. "We should get ice cream" Flo suggested. Ella chuckled, "The weather's cold these days, the ice cream booth won't open" she said. Flo remembered, she made a face. "Argh, can't they open regardless" Flo moaned. "Then they'll likely run at a loss" Ella stood."You could make at home" Ella added. Flo scoffed, "Then my mother would turn the whole house against me, she has a big issue with cold stuff" she said. "Endure it darling" Ella sighed. "I have to" Flo nodded slowly. "It's Mon...

INSPIRED MONDAY: The lots on Agabda's mind

Agabda tried to think more. She was taking much more time than she would normally. She hated it and she felt she wasn't pushing herself well enough, buh for three days, she had sat for about four hours thinking on what she had to do, exactly how she had to do it. She was sure there was a way she was supposed to go in, a particular thing she had to do, in a particular way. Still, she couldn't think of even one way, talk less of having to choose which way was best. Repeatedly, she had stood from her chair, walked around a bit, looked out her window, sat again, picked up her phone to watch a movie, then replaced the phone on the desk after about three minutes, and thought again, she still had no idea what to do. Not that she wasn't sure on what to do, this time, Agabda was definitely sure she was out of ideas. Agabda knew it was wrong that she had no way out, she always knew what to do. She always had all possibilities considered and a way out if any possibility posed as...

INSPIRED MONDAY: Joe and Mood swings

That feeling started again within Joe, she didn't want the feeling, buh she loved it, and because she knew she shouldn't appreciate it, she didn't accept it. Joe loved the idea of mood swing, she loved how in a moment, she was jovial and in the next, just for no reason, she was out of mood and unapproachable. It always made her feel unpredictable, buh that wasn't the case, because since she was known to be that way, it was predictable that she would have mood swing.       Joe had chosen to walk in a new path for almost a year now, buh a part of her that she had tried to suppress so well and infact did well in trying was her change in mood. She just always had the feeling to be depressed, in that if she knew anything would cheer her depression, she'ld ensure to avoid it. Such that though she learned and knew that in her father's house, joy was a mandate, and she feeling sad was a problem, and that when she feels sad, she could beckon on her...

CHAPTER 3      Lisa and Caleb stood on Teeny's porch, looking at the rain quietly, wondering when it was fit for Lisa to get her motorbike, she already had the rain coat on.      The door to Teeny opened behind them and none of them looked back, it wasn't unusual to have the door open and close continuously. "Lisa" A lady called behind them as she came out of Teeny. Lisa and Caleb turned back now. "Mrs Hooke..." Lisa called, she hadn't hoped to see her "...good evening" Lisa greeted, hoping that covered up whatever surprise look was on her face. Moreover, Lisa had to be nice to her, after all, she was her mother's best friend. "Are you heading home?" Mrs Hooke asked with her pleasant smile, revealing her almost white set of teeth between the pink colour of her lips. "Yes ma'am. My bike is in the school compound" Lisa said nodded slowly. "No need for that, I heard your mother's travelling tomorrow morning s...

INSPIRED MONDAY: Artist Blimey

Blimey looked on at everyone as they all,  including her had their smiles glued on their faces, buh that was only for a moment. As soon as the pencil slipped from the easel, she could feel the shock that shook her smile away as it did from others faces too. Blimey trembled, not just within her, it was clear on her face, so clear that no one dared to console her. Not that they didn't care, buh because it wasn't the right thing to do. For a long time now, Blimey had been doing this same curve lettering since she was young, she had influenced every of her classmates that now knew how to do the lettering. In fact, she was a special tutor to Larry, who just did his perfectly without a flaw. There was definitely no word that could encourage Blimey, because never in her life had she made a mistake with her calligraphy, and for the first time,  and not anywhere else buh infront of the people who could vouch for her art and even bragged so much about her, infront o...

Quick shout out to you Oluwasola Blessing BB even as you add a year today by the Grace of God 😍😚  CHAPTER 1      Caleb West took a few books out of his locker into his school bag and put the school bag behind him. As he closed his locker, Lisa was leaning on the locker next to his, facing him. "What, Lisa?" Caleb asked. "Are you sure you don't have a crush on me?" Lisa asked slowly and quietly. Caleb smiled a little "I should be asking you that, you seem to like me a lot" he said and they both started down the hall out the school building. It was closing hour so the hall was a little crowded.       "Are you hungry?" Lisa asked. "Why?" Caleb asked. "I'm cold and hungry" Lisa shivered a little under her cream coloured cardigan. "What'd you suggest then?" Caleb asked. Lisa hesitated "We could go to maximus and have hot noodles" she replied slowly. Caleb looked at her "You really want to do t...

INSPIRED MONDAY: Teacher Bunmi

There was a kind of confidence Bunmi wanted to build. She loved how her teacher always spoke, as if she was the creator of whatever topic she taught on. One thing that bothered Bunmi whenever she imagined herself teaching infront of a group of people was the doubt that could linger still in the hearts of the people she was speaking with. Nevertheless, she had been listening to her teacher teach for about four months now, and she knew she needed that confidence. Confidence to declare the word like it was hers, because indeed it was hers. It was hers because her father had meant them for her. Bunmi could tremble a lot in her heart when she begins to preach like her teacher, buh all she necessarily had to do was remind herself within, of who she was and what she had been given the grace to carry.       Surprising enough for Bunmi, she did well while she taught, because apparently, she learned from whatever she taught. She didn't have to explain everythin...

FLEX FRIDAY💖. MY PERFECT ARTIST.

The lives of a few at Tegavis. At the entrance of Tegavis town was the mayor's house and government secretariat, and at the town end was the Obla house. Elisa Obla was the only daughter of her mother and had only an older brother. She didn't make friends with a lot of people in town but she was known with Caleb West even though their parents didn't get along. Elisa left Tegavis for the city, Vedar, and Joey, an orphan, moved into the town from the city a year later, reminding everyone of Elisa even for the fact that she lived in the Obla house, except for been a nicer version of Elisa.       Caleb West had been a known artist in Tegavis at a very young age, though he never really had or cared about the support of his father and brother, his mother however loved and encouraged him. His best encouragement was Elisa as she became his best friend for his talent. He joined the town's art competition and won for five years consecutively. In same vein,...
