INSPIRED MONDAY: Phoebe on transformation
Phoebe loved sessions like this. The unexpected unplanned kind of session. One filled with so much knowledge than she'd have expected to gain that very day. There was a way she learnt, and there was a way and manner in which she taught in which she herself couldn't phantom however way she did it. Growing up, Phoebe had learnt to make contributions when asked to. She might not have something new to say, buh it'd be rather rude to leave the speaker or the teacher to his or herself, and so Phoebe always said something, even it meant repeating what someone else had said. Buh there was always something different or rather more to say. She always paid attention when listening to people speak, and she'd have a good knowledge of whatever was been said, buh when she repeats the exact same words, a new idea just automatically pops into her head, and even Phoebe would wonder however way her mind travelled far and deep.
Phoebe opened the door and entered after knocking. She didn't have to wait for a response before entering, the knock was simply just a gesture to let whoever was inside know someone was coming in. As soon as she entered the room, Priscilla turned on her bed, she was looking at her phone in her hand. "Good timing" Priscilla said and sat up as Phoebe joined her on the bed. "Whatever are you doing?" Phoebe asked. "I have a question" Priscilla replied, with a little bit of serious face and voice that Phoebe hadn't imagined of her friend. "Okay" Phoebe gave a shrug. Priscilla handed her phone to Phoebe and showed her what she had typed. Phoebe read, there were two bible verses:
2Corinthians 11:14b - For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.
Romans 12: 2b - ...but be transformed by the renewing of your mind...
Phoebe read and looked at Priscilla. "What's the difference between these transformations? We're supposed to be transformed, buh then, if the devil does this transformation too, are we really supposed to be transformed? Cause we're not supposed to be like him since he isn't our father?" Priscilla said, rather in a rush. She wasn't sure how she was supposed to ask the question without seeming to doubt the word. In actual sense, she believes every letter of the word she read, buh clarity was something she always enjoyed seeking.
For a second in Phoebe's mind, the verses seemed to have nothing to do with each other, buh as soon as she was about to talk, an idea came to her head, more like a knowledge that had been hidden inside of her somewhere. And so she spoke;
"When Jesus was on earth, He said to beware of false prophets. So, basically, there were true prophets, buh these false ones only imitate the true ones, that is, they pretend to be like the true ones, they transform themselves as though they the true ones. And many people fall into their errors because they appear as them. Now the thing is this, these false prophets only transform their physical selves to appear as the true prophets. Buh what Romans said was not just to transform ourselves - that's why it's always wise to complete a sentence before interpreting - buh we should do it by the renewing of our minds. Not transformation by appearance, buh transformation by the renewing of the mind. Meaning the devil only transforms by appearance, which is otherwise pretence, buh we transform by the renewing of our minds and so we actually become, not pretend. So the devil and his agents use this transformation in order to deceive, buh we use this transformation in order to actually become like our father."
There are words spoken, one that brings a form of shock to even the speaker. Sometimes, explaining out loud has a way of enabling further understanding of even the person who speaks especially when left to the Holy Spirit to take control of the talk most importantly when it came to His Word. He wrote those words, and He only knows the true meaning and links between the Words.
