INSPIRED MONDAY: Maranatha's dream

      Maranatha stood by the window, looking out, arms folded. It was day time, and she loved her ward particularly because it was high above the fence and it was easy to look over the fence at passerbys. In fact, If she had wanted, she could have made friends with any of the regular passerbys as some count it kindness to look up to the hospital wards to patients who miss their home and might never get a chance to see their home again and greet them. Another thing she liked about her ward was that two of the people that had been there had been discharged and now, it was quieter as the only present roommate she had wasn't the type to be confined in a place, one would think she had a sort of family relation to every one else in the hospital.

     It was clear morning, buh her roommate was out already, and so Maranatha stood by the window, luckily, the passerbys were those hurrying to work, and she need not bother about having to wave at anyone who cared for the sick. Besides, her gaze wasn't fixed on the passerbys, she was looking at the road, buh she paid no attention to it.

     How could she after a terrifying dream? Except it wasn't a dream, she knew that too well, and as she reminded herself of that knowledge, she felt a bit of water in her eyes. It could have been the morning dew deciding to settle in her eyes, buh oh, it wasn't. Maranatha noticed the shaky feeling in her and so she dabbed her eyes with her thumbs. Her sister won't be there until late afternoon buh would she still be waiting for her sister alive? Mara shook the thought out as she turned away from the window to her bed closest to the door. She looked on at it for a while, that was where she was when she had received her death sentence... She was thinking, buh that shouldn't be her thought, should it? "Jesus" Mara called as she headed for her bed. She looked at the clock on the wall before taking a seat on Louis bed beside hers, it was just a few minutes past 10, her next medication would be around 1. She looked round Louis' bed, she had actually never sat on it before. By the pillow side was a bible, it was the type her sister's daughter used. Mara picked it up, she hadn't opened her bible since the last morning. She opened it to where a little card was tucked, she recognized the card, after all it was a festive season and Louis always received a card for every celebration as she had so many friends.

      Mara's dream came back to her mind, she remembered something her teacher once told her, about how deaths could be planned in the spirit realm by holding a burial for the proposed death a night before. The spirit had a sure impact on what could be seen, if she has been buried in the spirit, that meant any moment, she could be gone. Staying in her room couldn't resolve it, but she was so scared that she chose to just stay there. For all she knew, she could be dead from choking on her medication in the afternoon, or kicking a toe on the bed, or... Mara held her thought, a part of her suddenly felt grateful, she was still nervous, but grateful. She picked the card in Louis' bible and turned it over, she read;

"He is coming with the clouds, every eye will see Him and everyone who pierced Him will wail on account of His Name, even so, Amen"

      Samantha opened the door to her sister's ward. Down the corridor,she had met Louis who told her that Mara would still be in the room. Looking down at Louis' bed, she saw Mara as she raised her head to the opened door. "Samantha" Mara called,she didn't expect her to come till evening. Samantha gave a little smile, a relieved one actually. She moved closer and sat on Mara's bed opposite Mara. "Good morning" Sam said. "I thought you had work" Mara said, closing the bible. "I took permission to be late" Sam nodded. "Are you feeling better?' Sam asked. "I don't feel sick in the hospital, with the diet restrictions and stuff" Mara shrugged with a little smile. "And how was your night?" Sam asked. Mara knew her sister knew something, she swallowed "Well..." Mara was saying when her sister cut in "I had a dream Maranatha" Sam said. "Ow?" Mara said wondering if it could be same as hers, was it possible? Buh there was someone who specialized in revealing mysteries. "What was it?" Mara found her voice. Sam closed her eyes for about two seconds, to keep her eyes from tears, she said "I know Mara, that you're not scared of dying, you mention it every now and then, buh it's not supposed to be this way" Mara dabbed her eyes quickly with her fingers "I'm afraid Sam..." she said, she could feel the lump in her throat "...when was the last time I spoke of dying? When I found out I was sick, I stopped talking of it, I don't want to die of any sickness or from the force of evil" Mara said, her tears didn't surprise her, she had meant to cry when she woke up from her dream, buh she wasn't the type to cry with no one present. Sam nodded slowly "I had a dream too Sam, a dark coffin, with my name on it, in the camp of darkness" Mara said. It was same with Sam's dream. "Okay, Mara..." Sam sniffed before continuing "...we'll make this more than a dream, it's going to be a revelation, one from above to help us take action. There is a man that did die, He came back, and by that, He became the first born of the dead, while in fact He is also the first born of the living, because the living in this case were those who died when He did and arose with Him when He came back. Likewise, Mara, he revealed this,and that means it's not the end except we do nothing. Buh how can we battle the spirit especially when it happened already, now we know we don't fight with physical arms. It may have happened buh is there something He who rose from the dead cannot turn around? If he arose from dead, He again is able to raise another from death,and that's the power He has which also He has given unto us. He has power over death and hade, and has given it into us, and all we need do is decree a thing which will be established because of this power that we possess. That death we saw Mara will be unto sin, and you won't die physically because you'll be raised up as our Lord was and you'll live fully unto God."

"For he who has died has been freed from sin" Romans 6:7

"For the death that he died, He died to sin once for all; buh the life that He lives, He lives to God"  Romans 6:10
