INSPIRED MONDAY: Tammy on the bus

Tammy sat still as she still listened. Today, her mind wasn't occupied. There was no end to the thoughts of man, buh this time, she chose to clear her mind. It had been so long since she did that. In fact, it wasn't exactly a safe idea for her to at that moment. She was on her way back home because of the stress of her work. She shouldn't leave her work all just because of stress, buh in what way would staying benefit her when it could almost cause her breakdown. Tammy loved riding in her own car, buh she took the bus this time. She hadn't intended to as she thought of walking home initially, regardless of the distance of her home from her office, at least, she had nothing to do on a hurry at home, she didn't even plan to go home that early.

Tammy listened on in the bus, it was loud and clear. It had been so long since she took the bus that she didn't know that even the bus sometimes played audio recordings for its passengers. She looked out the window steadily as she listened:

Sometimes, Our hope doesn't turn out the way we want it. When we want to desperately hope for something, we still end up with a pinch of doubt. Buh, what we know already, what we are totally assured of already has a way of directing us back to our hope.

Sometimes, when we claim to believe, we do believe, buh maybe not totally, and maybe not in the right way. Buh the fact that our hope seemed to betray us by not showing the result we expected shouldn't lead us to total and complete doubt. In cases when we seem to begin this doubt, we should think back on the original source of our hope. 'What was that thing that caused us to hope in the first place?' 'Why did we hope in the first place?' 'Wasn't it because of a similar seemingly hopeless situation?'

If by a seemingly hopeless situation in the past, our hope was made stronger, then why should it be forgotten, or turned to doubt also because of a seemingly hopeless situation? It shouldn't build doubt, it should build boldness with our hope. The boldness to keep believing and hoping, the boldness to confront the situation head on, and the boldness to declare one's victory clearly.

In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by faith in Him.

"Tammy" Tammy heard her name, she was still looking out the window, buh the bus had stopped, she turned to her right, the bus was almost empty, she recognised the man who stood at the centre of the bus to call her, her neighbour. "The bus is about to move again" he said and left the bus. Tammy wondered why the bus was queit again. She remembered the last sentence of the audio she heard, ot seemed rather familiar to her. Tammy took out her phone quickly as she stood from her seat. She unlocked it and checked her notification bar, the last sentence was her daily verse for the day, Ephesians 3:12. The bus hadn't started playing audio for its passengers, God was speaking with her.
