INSPIRED MONDAY: All things work together
Riah had a lot on her schedule. In about 35 minutes, her driver would arrive and would take her and her new and only daughter to her new school. Riah looked on at the paper she had written her schedule on earlier that morning as it lay on her dressing table, she seemed lost in her schedule. The only things she had done were the arranging of her bag, the reading of her bible and devotion with her daughter.
Riah felt sleepy, she felt the need to close her eyes but she shut the thought out. She had to complete her write-up within the next two days and she wasn't even half way yet. "Help me Lord" Riah sighed. She had gotten more busy and had forgotten to pick Matilda from the orphanage until Sarah reminded her. Riah didn't like the timing of Matilda's arrival. When she had planned it, she didn't think she would be this busy, she didn't think her job would be so stressful and she didn't want her daughter having impression of her mother as too busy for her.
But none of these were in Riah's control, all were in the hands of God. As long as all were in God's Hands, Riah knew all was good. Doesn't all things work together for good for them that love God and her called according to His purpose because God was in charge of all?
Riah looked up at her face in the dressing mirror. Her face was oily and looked dull. She didn't want to wear any makeup, but she didn't want to look dull either. She picked up the powder brush on the table and removed the cover. She dabbed her face carefully with whatever powder lingered on it from her past usages. When she finished, she replaced the cover and stood the brush again beside the powder box. She ran her hands quickly through her short braids and stood up, picking up her black handbag from the dressing table. Riah walked towards her cupboard, infront of which her full length mirror was. She looked again at herself and her dressing. She wore a dark red chiffon shirt, deep blue skirt and her block heels sandals were same colour with the skirt.
Riah turned and headed out of the roon. Matilda would be down in a while too, and they both would have a breakfast of crunch cereals, Matilda's favourite cereal, then she would pack Matilda's lunch and hopefully, as soon as they are ready, her driver would arrive and they would head out.
Riah always had her days planned, she knew too well that things didn't always turned out as planned, but that didn't mean she shouldn't make plans. Lately, she had ensured she didn't make her plans all by herself, she always involved God. And even times when God didn't tell her the plan she made was not all that would happen that day, she knew that He was in charge, she had put Him in charge, because that was the only way He could be in charge. He doesn't infringe anyone's privacy, Riah had learnt that and so she had to put Him in charge, or else, how would things work out? How would she have adopted the right daughter from the orphanage?
Good write up
