FLEX FRIDAY💖. DAYS OF FOREST VISITS.

 

CHAPTER 7

      Steven looked back, Dasola was staring at both of them from Precious' seat. Steven looked away, and turned to Precious. "Never mind, it's just a way of calling me" Steven said quietly, although Iwalewa could still hear. Precious leaned closer to him, "You can't go anywhere, you just spoke with me" Precious said sternly. Steven nodded and stood. "What are you doing?" Precious stood up straight, a bit frightened. "Hold on, I'll be back. She won't leave except l leave too" Steven said. Precious sighed, Dasola was definitely doing whatever she was doing intentionally. Precious walked towards her seat, as Steven walked out of the class. Precious glared at Dasola as she walked, Dasola stood and left.


      Steven walked into thier usual circle in the forest, surprisingly, it was empty. He looked around a bit then checked his wristwatch, he shouldn't take too long. From the tree behind him, one of his friends jumped down from a tree. "Glad you could make it" Blake said. Steven turned to him. The others came in from different directions. "Just invited you for a play" Dasola said with a sly smile. Steven looked angry, "I was in a class" he said,  trying not to sound angry. "Dasola will be out of the circle by tomorrow" Blake said. Steven knew what they meant, she'll be married off, but he didn't know if it was for a mission. "You don't seem concerned" Dasola said, her tone was sad.


     Lola looked up from the novel in her hand, the teacher was still not in class. She turned to Precious, she was looking our the window. Lola reasoned within herself as she took a quick glance at the page of the book she was reading again, none of the sentences she heard were in the book, who was speaking? "Precious" she called. Precious turned to her. "Did you hear that?" Lola asked. "What was that?" Precious asked, then she saw the glow on Lola's neck,  the exact type of Steven's necklace. Her heart beat a bit faster. "What did you hear?" Precious asked. "Do you think you heard Steven's voice?" Precious added. Lola thought about it, she did hear Steven's voice. She nodded slowly.


     "Who do you think is listening?" Dasola asked. Steven felt for Dasola's necklace, he could since they were mates. It wasn't on her, it was somewhere in the school, but not with Precious. Steven was alarmed. "What did you do? No one else is supposed to have that" Steven didn't mind his tone this time. "Why didn't anyone try to stop her?" Steven yelled as he left. But he knew very well why they didn't, the only reason there could be was if it was an order from the master.

      Steven entered the class, someone was carrying Lola out of the class, Precious walking behind them. When Precious saw Steven, she stopped. "This was around her neck" she said, showing him the necklace, she had taken it off her when she was been carried. "That was why Dasola came" Precious added. Steven nodded. "I figured" he said and took the neck lace from Precious. A teacher walked into the class. "We'll talk after school" Steven said to Precious as they headed to their seats. Steven felt restless. He had to hurry up. From the book he started reading secretly a while back, while he had met Elene, he remembered, “Seek Him when He can be found, call Him while He is near”. He had to hurry whatever he wanted to do, or his saving might not come.


     Precious tapped her feet for nearly throughout the last period as she stared at her wristwatch. When the bell rang, she put her book in her bag quickly, and carried it, then held Lola's own. She walked to Steven's seat, he was standing already. "Hey" she said. "Are you in a hurry?" He asked. "You're the one in a hurry" Precious eyed him jokingly. "Let's see Lola" Precious said. Steven didn't seem interested. "Why?" He asked as he put his bag behind him. Precious looked a bit confused. She shrugged as she started out of the class, Steven following closely. "For starters, I have to give her her school bag" she said. "You could do that" Steven said. Precious stopped infront of the class. "You know you'll need her or something, for your..." Precious said and nodded towards him. She didn't want to finish the sentence, she remembered what he had said about him been listened on but he knew what she meant. "Let's go" he said and headed out first.

     Steven waited outside the ward room as Precious went in to pick Lola. Precious walked slowly towards her, she realized they weren't even close, and it was still Lola's first day in the school. "Hey Lola, how are you feeling?" Precious asked as she took a seat gently beside her. Lola sat up. "I'm okay, I guess" she said, rubbing her eyes a little. "I brought your bag" Precious raised the bag a little. "Did they call your parents already?" Precious asked. "They called my brother, but he's not in town, I'll be fine going home on my own" Lola said as she put on her school shoes. "We could walk with you for a while..." Precious said. "...keep you company" she added with a little shrug. Lola looked at her "we?" she asked. "Steven and I" Precious said. "I didn't think he cared" Lola said quietly, standing up. "Are we allowed to?" Precious ignored her comment. "I do like you, so I guess so" Lola said with a smile. "Thanks" she said and took her bag from her.

      The three walked out of the school slowly after signing out. Precious in-between the both of them since the other two didn't seem to get along well. Lola didn't like the silence, she looked at Precious first, then at Steven even as they kept walking. "What is it?" Precious asked. It was obvious Lola was curious about something. Lola shrugged. "I was just wondering which one of you would talk to me about what happened today" Lola said. Precious expected that she was curious, buh she was taken aback that she asked. "Ow" Precious said and looked at Steven. She knew she couldn't be the one to explain.

     They were quiet again, as Precious didn't want to reply, and didn't want to ask Steven for the fact that he might be listened on. Precious turned to Lola. "You live alone then?" She asked. Lola looked at her."Yes" she replied. "Well, for now I do too, my dad's on a business trip, and my nanny quit" Precious said. "You have a nanny?" Lola asked. Precious smiled. "Yes"

     "Do you go to church?" Steven asked. Precious and Lola looked at him. Precious nodded at Lola to indicate he was asking her.

The Dreamer

       In a new place, with a strange dream... PART 1/2       Jasire opened his eyes slowly. Regardless of his fearsome dream, he was used to waking up quietly, as his mother would surely awake at any sound he or his siblings made, cautioning them to keep their voices low as the night was a very sensitive time. For the sake his mother, Jasire sat up as quietly as he could, this time, his mother wasn't leaning on the wall, asleep, and he infact had slept on a bed the night before, with his younger brother Tola by his right.        Maya sat crouched on her bed, leaning partially against the wall. She had just awoken not long ago, the day was getting bright and so Maya figured it was almost 7 am. She knew she'd wait at least 30 minutes in that position before the door opens and the switch turns on.      Maya didn't love feeling too cold, but she loved the feeling of cold, she loved the season of cold. She loved it a million times than the hot season. She loved things she was able to control, and thus her hatred for the generator, her slight hatted for her caretaker, her hatred for her room.      As much as Maya loved cold a million times than heat, she loved the light a million times than the dark.  The thoughts within Gab went on and on. Surely, there was no end to the mind. Every single thing had a depth,and that, a depth indeed. The depth of a single thing was connected to other things that don't seem to matter, but when looked at long and well enough,  it had its own unimaginable depth. INSPIRED MONDAY: All things work together

      Riah had a lot on her schedule. In about 35 minutes, her driver would arrive and would take her and her new and only daughter to her new school. Riah looked on at the paper she had written her schedule on earlier that morning as it lay on her dressing table, she seemed lost in her schedule. The only things she had done were the arranging of her bag, the reading of her bible and devotion with her daughter.      Riah felt sleepy, she felt the need to close her eyes but she shut the thought out. PERFECT JUBILEE - Day 1

       Another way of relieving burdens, letting all the stress go is Praise.       One may wonder how this is possible when you seem to not have any strength left.
